Adam helps clients to obtain, use and/or navigate-around Intellectual Property Rights relating to technology and design. After many years working in-house as an engineer and then as a patent attorney, he has extensive experience of understanding engineering devices and systems, the way engineering companies operate and how engineers think.

Adam specialises in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for engineering inventions, and is also highly skilled in registering designs. He supports multi-national engineering companies which produce a large range of high technology products such as land, sea and air vehicles and their power systems, industrial workplace solutions, heat pumps and heat engines including internal combustion engines (for example fuelled by hydrogen) and nuclear power plants.

Prior to entering the intellectual property (IP) profession, Adam was a mechanical engineer and completed his PhD on combustion in spark ignition engines at the University of Leeds. His industrial experience includes Rolls-Royce plc, the Ford Motor Company, Harland and Wolff and Shell Research UK.
