Andrew’s experience in research and experience with a wide range of technologies means that he understands and is familiar with common problems faced by clients in different sectors.
Andrew has experience of working with clients ranging from individuals to multinational organisations. He has particular experience of working for clients with large patent portfolios in the consumer electronics sector. Most of Andrew’s practice relates to examination and prosecution, but he also has experience of drafting, patentability opinions and third party observations.
Andrew is particularly interested in medical devices and has drafted patent applications for universities and individuals relating to medical devices.
Andrew entered the patent profession in 2017, becoming part qualified in 2019. Andrew holds a first class Physics MSci degree from Imperial College London, including time spent studying in Madrid. Subsequently, Andrew was awarded a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Oxford for his thesis on the structure of pharmaceuticals, such as cocaine, in physiologically relevant environments, resulting in several peer-reviewed publications.
