Emma’s experience in both academic and clinical research enables her to assist clients in achieving patent protection for a broad range of innovations in the biotechnology and life sciences sectors.
As a trainee, Emma is working towards her UK and European patent examinations. Alongside this, she is involved in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications and has worked on a range of technologies from gene therapy to microbiome-modifying compounds.
Emma was awarded a Master of Research with Distinction in Clinical Research from Imperial College London and achieved an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. During her master’s degree, she was involved in the conduct of clinical trials at Hammersmith Hospital, which investigated novel treatments for diabetes and obesity.
