Trainee Patent Attorney

James’ experience in academic and industrial research enables him to understand clients’ patent protection needs for a wide range of applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

As a trainee, James is working towards his UK and European patent examinations. In addition to this, he is involved in the drafting of patent applications ranging from consumer healthcare to fuel additives.

James holds a first class Master of Chemistry degree (MChem) from the University of York. His masters project focused on synthesis and expansion of medium-sized organic rings. His work in industry included significant synthetic contributions to oncological drug discovery projects.
