Ji-Young is a Trainee Trade Mark Attorney in our Manchester office.

Ji-Young works alongside the associates and partners, and assists with all aspects of trademark practice ranging from registrations and oppositions to portfolio management, for clients from a variety of industries.

Before joining Appleyard Lees in 2023, Ji-Young worked for a number of years as a patent translator and as a client administrator, gaining a wide range of experience across the IP sector and a keen interest in trade mark law.

Ji-Young is originally from South Korea where she attended Ewha Women’s University obtaining BA in Library and Information Science. Ji-Young then relocated to the UK where she completed her MPhil and PhD in Architecture at the University of Cambridge, focussing on the use of the built environment and its energy implications.
