Paul Roscoe

Paul has experience working as an engineer and inventor and working as a patent engineer in-house. As a result, he is able to relate to inventors well and can understand commercial considerations.
Paul works with large multinational companies, as well as SMEs, start-ups, universities, and sole inventors. He has experience of subject-matter including engineering, electronics, and computer-implemented inventions, and in particular, artificial intelligence applications.
Paul focuses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications. In addition, he enjoys advising clients on various aspects of IP protection including freedom to operate and infringement opinions.
Paul is an examination on the Final Diploma Examination FD4 Infringement and Validity and also helps set the FD3 Drafting of Specifications exam.
Paul holds a first class MEng degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liverpool. During his third year, he studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne in the USA.
