Pippa has been engaged with raising awareness of and education Unified Patent Court and the Unitary Patent, spending her training and first 10 years working in-house for the patent departments of a number of major international corporations in the pharmaceutical, chemical and oil sectors.

Her French, German and Dutch language skills are a great asset in the day to day patent practice of reviewing official patent office search results including publications in these languages.

Pippa spent a further 10 years working in private practice in the UK, as Head of UK Patents for a major patents and trademarks practice headquartered in The Netherlands. Clients included academia, multinationals, SME and private inventors. Pippa has been a consultant with Appleyard Lees since 2010 progressing her portfolio in both chemical and mechanical fields.
