Sam helps clients to protect their trade mark rights with strategies tailored to suit each client’s individual needs.

Sam joined Appleyard Lees as a trainee trade mark attorney in December 2019, having previously held a trainee position at a firm in York. Sam deals with various trade mark matters including clearance/searching, trade mark filing strategies, prosecution and opposition proceedings.

Sam graduated with degree in Law at Durham University in 2018. He then completed the Certificate in Trade Mark Law and Practice at Queen Mary’s University of London and the Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice at Nottingham Trent University, subsequently qualifying as a chartered trade mark attorney in the summer of 2022.
